Good News | Dongde Hydrogen Energy Selected for Shandong Province’s “Morning Star Factory” Pilot Program List

On June 30, the Shandong Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology announced the list of pilot projects for building “Morning Star Factories” in the digital economy for 2025. Yantai Dongde Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was successfully selected, marking another prestigious recognition for the company following its inclusion as a Green Factory in Yantai City in mid-June.

“Morning Star Factories” refer to digitally driven enterprises that are highly exemplary and pioneering, possess outstanding innovation capabilities, deliver demonstrable application results, and generate significant economic benefits. These factories, at various stages of development within the manufacturing sector, are characterized by technological leadership, innovative business models, integrated collaboration, and green, low-carbon operations.

As a nationally recognized “Little Giant” enterprise specializing in niche, specialized, and innovative fields, Dongde Hydrogen Energy has been deeply engaged in the R&D of hydrogen energy equipment since its establishment. To date, it has filed over 1,000 patent applications and ranks among the top 20 global hydrogen technology companies. Leveraging its R&D and innovation strengths in compressors, Dongde Hydrogen Energy fully exploits industrial synergy to provide the market with stable and reliable integrated solutions for hydrogen production and refueling, comprehensive energy station construction for oil, gas, hydrogen, and electricity, and natural gas–hydrogen blending applications. The company has also participated in numerous national and provincial hydrogen demonstration projects across Shandong, Guizhou, Guangdong, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia, and other regions.

In recent years, Dongde Hydrogen has vigorously advanced the in-depth deployment and application of its two core systems—ERP and PLM—while actively developing smart, digital factories. This has enabled seamless integration of product lifecycle data and closed-loop management of business processes. By transitioning the enterprise from “experience-driven” to “data-driven” operations, it has eliminated redundant steps, optimized resource allocation, and reduced operating costs, thereby achieving green, low-carbon, high-quality development.

Looking ahead, Dongde Hydrogen Energy will take the construction of the “Morning Star Factory” as a pilot project to strengthen its digital infrastructure, foster deep integration between digital technologies and production and operations, and establish a benchmark for digital intelligence in the hydrogen energy sector.
